The Steam Edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator X now works with Windows 8.1 and has better shared features.

You can fly the 747 jumbo jet, the F/A-18 Hornet, the P-51D Mustang, the EH-101 chopper, and many other planes. There are planes for every type of flight and adventure. Pick where you want to start, set the time, the season, and the weather. Fly from one of more than 24,000 airports and see a world of beautiful airplanes that has millions of fans from around the world.

Players of the FSX Steam Edition can be any role they want, from air traffic controller to pilot or co-pilot. Every role is related to the world around them. In the racing mode, you can race against your friends on one of four courses: the Red Bull Air Race courses, the endless Reno National Championship course, cross-country courses, competition sailplane courses, and fictional courses like the Hoop and Jet Canyon. You can see how good you are by racing on three different levels of difficulty, from easy pylons to very tough courses in all kinds of weather.
