MUSIC TO MAKE YOU WEEP: An ambitious, varied, cross-genre music with work from Toby Fox of Undertale and, unfortunately, at least one third-wave ska song. There is also at least one garage rock pair that isn’t really revolutionary and has their own regrets.

WORLDS TO SEE, TEENS TO BE: You can play as JOEY CLAIRE, EXTRAORDINAIRE, a girl who is locked in her room in 1994. Strangely, you can play as JUDE HARLEY, her brother who is stuck in his treehouse. Wait, you can play as XEFROS TRITOH, the ALIEN REBEL. Aliens.

JUST GETTING STARTED: There will be a companion series called Hauntswitch coming out after HIVESWAP: Act 1. This is the first book in a four-part series set in Andrew Hussie’s Homestuck world. Save your progress from one part to the next and then from one game to the next to keep your story, choices, friends, and enemies with you. Then do it again! Once they’re out, you can play HIVESWAP and Hauntswitch in any order. Not read Homestuck yet That’s okay! It’s 1994 in this game! There is no such thing as Homestuck yet.
