There are just the traces of those who have gone before you—no roads or trails. There are automobile breakdowns, little petrol, and little supplies. Losing your way is common, so move quickly yet carefully. You might see less and have less direction at night. Should you hurry without thinking, your car may become stuck in the mud and you will need to use the winch to get out. Across ponds and rivers is a risk you might not win. Rain, snow, fog and snow storms make things much more difficult. Go around and burn more fuel and supplies, or drive straight across shaky terrain and risk your car?
